A Message

Today in Costa Rica we did a lot. We helped build the community center, we went to home stay and had lunch, then we went with a man named Jaime and he fed us random plants. So first:

We walked to the service project (community center) and we met all of the people working on the project. They were all very nice. We started painting the parts of the community center that were built, with great pride. After we finished painting we went over to our home stay family.

We walked a mile or so to the home stay where we were greeted with lots of Spanish. The home stay moms were very kind and fun to be around. We ended up joining groups with the other home stay and hanging out in the backyard (more like a farm) we ate wired berries and stuff like that.

We met Jaime at the lodge and he took us on a trip where we walked along the road and he fed us or showed us random plants like: a berry that is like glue, a plant that fixes bug bites, a fruit you can drink the water from, a leaf that numbs your mouth and makes you drool nonstop for a while (that was my FAVORITE thing ever, I was eating those the whole time :) ) and other things.

All in all today was great, good bye,
Griffin
